HireVue Pricing: What HireVue Actually Costs

HireVue does not publish a price. Procurement data from Vendr puts the average HireVue contract at $49,855 per year, with the largest tracked deal around $145,000, and buyers report a one-time implementation fee commonly cited at $15,000 to $40,000 on top. Capterra lists no free trial, and buyers report no month-to-month plan. 1Way Interview publishes every number instead: from $13.99 per month billed annually, $0 implementation, cancel anytime.

Is the price published?
Yes. Every plan and price is on the pricing page, from $13.99 to $209.99 per month billed annually.
No. hirevue.com/pricing names an Essential and a Premium package but shows no dollar figure. You request a demo.
Typical annual cost
Starter $13.99, SME $34.99, Business $62.99, Unlimited $209.99 per month on annual billing. Same numbers for everyone.
$49,855 average annual contract, up to around $145,000 in tracked deals (Vendr, small sample of 5 tracked deals across 3 buyers). Entry tier reported near $35,000 per year; LeonStaff reports a wider $25,000 to $40,000 range.
One-time implementation fee
Zero. Self-serve setup, first interview live in about 15 minutes.
Commonly cited at $15,000 to $40,000, with prepzo reporting from $5,000. Custom ATS integration work is quoted separately.
How you get a price
You read it on the pricing page and check out yourself. No call required.
Reported: demo request, discovery call, then a custom quote sized to your employee count and hiring volume.
Free trial

None. Capterra lists HireVue as having no free trial and no free version, and access starts with a demo request.

Monthly or annual. Cancel or pause any time, no lock-in.
Reported as annual or multi-year only: HireVue does not sell month-to-month, and multi-year commitments are common.
What the price scales on
Interviews per month, published per plan. Pick the plan that matches your volume, change it whenever.
Reported to scale on completed interviews and assessments per year plus the modules deployed, sized by employee band (entry tier around 2,500 to 7,500 employees).

AI assessment sits in higher packages and add-on modules, priced inside the quote.
Cost to see it working

What actually drives a HireVue quote

HireVue prices per deal, so there is no list price to look up. These are the three line items buyers report, with sources.

Step 1
step-1

The license, sized by your headcount and hiring volume

HireVue's own pricing page names an Essential and a Premium package and shows no dollar figure at all. It asks: "Need help choosing the right plan for your business?" and sends you to a demo request. You can check that yourself: hirevue.com/pricing.

The only hard numbers in public come from procurement data rather than from HireVue. Vendr's HireVue buyer guide reports an average annual contract value of $49,855 and a maximum of "around $145,000", from a small sample of 5 tracked deals across 3 buyers, so read it as an order of magnitude and not as a price list.

Third-party teardowns (PIN, prepzo, Willo, InterviewFlowAI, Classet) put the entry tier at roughly $35,000 per year, for organisations in the 2,500 to 7,500 employee band (SelectSoftwareReviews, Willo), while LeonStaff reports a wider $25,000 to $40,000 range. Nobody agrees, because nobody is quoting a published number.

Step 2
step-2

The implementation fee, quoted separately from the license

The license is not the first-year cost. Buyers consistently report a one-time implementation and onboarding fee on top, commonly cited in the $15,000 to $40,000 range (PIN, Classet), though prepzo reports figures from $5,000. Custom ATS integration work is usually quoted separately again.

That is the line item that turns a $35,000 license into a materially larger first-year invoice, and it is the one most likely to be missing from a budget built off a blog post.

For comparison, implementation on 1Way Interview is $0, because there is nothing to implement: you sign up, build a position and share the link. See the published plans below.

Step 3
step-3

The commitment, and what it costs you if hiring slows

HireVue is reported to sell annual or multi-year contracts only, with no month-to-month option (prepzo, PIN) and no free trial (Capterra). Pricing is reported to scale on completed interviews and assessments per year plus the modules deployed (IndustryLabs), so exceeding your contracted volume triggers overage charges set inside the contract.

The asymmetry is the point: a multi-year commitment sized to the hiring plan you had at signature keeps billing you when hiring slows down. On a published month-to-month price you simply downgrade.

Worth stating plainly, since a lot of pages claim otherwise: we found no evidence of a 2026 HireVue list-price increase. At least one tracker states outright that HireVue announced no 2026 pricing update, and its quote-based structure is unchanged. If you see a specific "2026 increase" percentage quoted anywhere, ask for the source. Full HireVue feature comparison.

Buyer checklist

Four numbers to get in writing before you sign anything

Because HireVue quotes per deal, the figure a salesperson says out loud is rarely the figure you will pay over the term. These are the four that decide your real cost.

  1. 1The fully loaded first-year total: license plus implementation plus any custom ATS integration work, as one number.
  2. 2The total across the whole committed term, not the annual figure, since the commitment is what you are actually buying.
  3. 3The price per additional interview or assessment once you pass your contracted volume.
  4. 4The renewal price and the escalation percentage, stated as a number rather than "market rate at renewal".

Honest fit

When the enterprise price tag is worth paying

HireVue is not overpriced for the buyer it was designed for. It is priced for organisations where the process itself is the deliverable: very high hiring volume across thousands of employees and multiple regions, structured competency frameworks with formal validation and compliance documentation you can hand to legal, deep integration into an enterprise ATS delivered by a named implementation team, and a procurement function for which a multi-year commitment is routine rather than a risk you absorb personally. If that is you, the implementation fee buys something real.

The alternative

Same job, published price, no implementation fee

If what you actually need is one-way video interviews, you can have that today from $13.99 per month billed annually, with AI screening included from the $34.99 per month SME plan up. A 14-day free trial, no sales call and nothing to implement. The price you see is the price everyone pays.
